Henley Festival

The Henley Festival is run by a charitable organisation, dedicated to promoting the arts and encouraging young artists in many disciplines. It is the only arts festival that does not require assistance from the public purse to meet its charitable aims, instead relying on income from its hugely successful 'Festival Week' and on donations from corporate supporters, such as Bayer.

Watermill Theatre

The WaterMill Theatre, on the outskirts of Newbury, provides high quality "rep" theatre on a small scale. Among their many outreach and other subsidiary activities, Bayer is an ongoing supporter of the theatre's Youth Programme, which gives local young people opportunities to take part in theatre, perform publicly, and even take their first steps towards a professional career in theatre.
