The Bayer Newbury 10K is back for the third year running and it’s even bigger. We’re hoping for 750 runners this year. Bayer plc, in partnership with the Newbury Athletic Club, are this time, working together with the media support of Newbury Sound.

The run will take place on Sunday 30th May and will follow the same route as previous years with a few minor tweeks! Starting in the heart of the historic market town of Newbury, the route climbs gently for the first 3km, followed by a short descent and is then flat for the rest of the course. Approx 7km of the course is on the road and the remainder on footpaths and the tow path.

New this year is chip timing. There will be cash prizes for the winners; trophies for the first team back, first Bayer team and ‘best fancy dressed’; and medals and “goody-bags” for all participants.

The entry fee is £10 for members of affiliated athletic/running clubs and £12 for non-members. There will be no on-the-day entries. (Please note that Runner's World charge an extra £1.50 per entry for administration).

Money raised from the entry fee will go to Naomi House / jacksplace, a children and young people’s hospice that provides support to those with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults. The charity provides care to families living in communities across the seven counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire. Some of the entry fee will also be used by the Newbury Athletic Club for sports equipment and development of it’s young athletes.
