Bayer has traded in the UK and Ireland since Friedrich Bayer first sold his dyestuffs here in 1871. Early business was handled through the offices of engineering company JM Steel, then through Bayer's own operations based in Manchester, then Surrey.
Today Bayer’s UK and Ireland region is headquartered in 400 South Oak Way, Green Park, Reading . The campus serves as home to Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Animal Health, as well as the business and administrative service function, Country Platform. Our Crop Science business is based in Cambridge and our Ireland businesses are based in Dublin.
