Bayer’s Commitment to Community Health:

A £180k Donation of Levy Funds to South Central Ambulance Service

In an important step towards enhancing community health and emergency response capabilities, Bayer is pleased to announce a donation of £180,000 of levy funds to the South-Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). These levy funds, if not utilised for inhouse apprenticeships would otherwise have been returned to the Treasury.

The donation is instrumental in training a cohort of 12 apprentice ambulance support workers, thereby bolstering the vital services that SCAS provides within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.

This initiative emphasises Bayer’s commitment to delivering social value beyond our products and services. We strive to train and upskill not only our employees, but offer the opportunity for our partner organisations through donating surplus levy funding. A wonderful example of this was by donating to the training of ambulance support workers, we are not only enhancing the skill set of a new generation of emergency responders but also ensuring that our communities receive timely and effective care in critical situations.

We believe that our responsibilities extend beyond business objectives. We are dedicated to fostering healthier communities and ensuring that emergency services are well-equipped to handle the challenges they face. This donation to the South Central Ambulance Service is just one of the many ways we strive to make a difference.
