Bayer is pleased to announce an additional donation of £135,000 of unspent levy funds to the South-Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) taking our total support to £315,000 for 2025.
This donation provides access for 6 people to a gain a fully accredited BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science degree through an apprenticeship route, improving patient outcomes by ensuring the next generation of paramedics are equipped with current clinical knowledge and practical skills and thereby bolstering the vital services that SCAS provides within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. The importance of well-trained personnel in emergency services cannot be overstated and Bayer is delighted to support this essential training.
SCAS said ‘We are incredibly grateful to Bayer for their generous apprenticeship levy transfer, which is enabling our staff to progress in their careers by starting the Paramedic Degree Apprenticeship. This support not only invests in the professional development of our operational teams but also strengthens the wider NHS workforce. By helping us train the next generation of paramedics, Bayer is directly contributing to improved patient care and making a meaningful difference in our communities.’
Supporting our local communities is not only the right thing to do, but also vital for our sustainability and reputational goals. We hope 2026 will bring more opportunities for collaboration and support.
